Everyone thought the 1988 League Cup Final was going to be a one-sided affair as Arsenal were the defending champions and hot favourites. That is everyone but the Hatters and their fans. After taking an early lead, Luton were pegged back and with 10 minutes to go found themselves 2-1 down and facing a penalty. But Dibble added to his magnificent display by saving it and Luton swept forward to equalise 3 minutes later. In the very last minute Brian Stein scored the winner. Absolutely brilliant from the never say die boys....
